I got this idea from a creator I seen on instagram, @brianhuntresss . He makes art and music with his art which is super cool, anyways I came across his video where he makes a zine. I’ve always thought about making a magazine and when I came across his reel on making small zines and how punks used to do it all the time things just clicked. I asked myself what excuse do I have for not making something small like these paper zines. So MoreZine was born, it’s a lot of fun making these and although they’re not magazines they’re definitely a start. I’ve done a few of these and have given some out at events at the local park. If you’ve got one I hope you colored it in or enjoyed the doodles ! Definitely more to come soon.

I didn’t really know what to do for the cover but I think these two drawings are sorta what I’m most known for. The birds usually a girl in a bra but I tried to make this one so anyone can have it from a kid to an adult.

I guess this first edition is actually what I feel is my signature style. Zen-tangles, Stipple, cross hatching, characters, definitely sounds like me.

I wanted to also include poems or writings. I’ve always been a writer, I used to fill up notebooks with what was probably nonsense but used to be a daily habit and I’ve gotten out of touch with that and want to get back into it.

I also want to work on drawing hair better. Especially digitally, this is something I’m striving to hopefully get better at.

Something I also want to get back is using tangles and lines to a bigger extent. I used to fill blank pages with lines and now I find it harder to do.

What would this be without a cat. I was thinking of one of our cats that we used to have we named Buzz. She came one day with a few kittens and she stayed with us for awhile till one day she left and never came back. Her kittens that came with her still live with us though. Buzz if you’re still out there, hope you’re doing good !
