The Board
First off, shout out to Andy. Shoutout to all the homies in the valley skate community really. When I first moved to Washington I didn’t know anyone and every time I went to the skatepark no one would be there. Got to the point where I stopped skating for awhile. I never really stopped I just wouldn’t go out as much as I used to when I first left California so it was a big change. Eventually getting back into it , with a new local skatepark I met a bunch of new homies and started talking with Andy the owner of Bonzi’s more. The community is small but dedicated to skateboarding. Andy wanted to start doing collaborations and had asked me to draw something for the shop. I was stoked, first time I’d be collaborating with a local skate shop and to have it be Bonzis is super dope and a huge step forward for me. Pablo and Andy had sent me a Santa Cruz logo they thought was dope and asked if I could do something similar. I started with drawing the stencils of the letters and added some characters in them. The background being on fire was also just an idea I threw in because I felt like just breaking through a wall was not enough. Thus the design was born, and it came out so sick Andy made it into a board ! I had made this graphic with the thought of just some stickers and possibly a tee graphic but it was so sick to see it come to life on the board. Andy had asked if having it sideways and getting rid of the flame background, leaving it on the baby blue background to which I let him know I had no problem. It’s definitely a huge honor for me to have someone like something I made, huge. I have a bunch more designs in the work and the dudes and I have lots of ideas so there will be more coming soon !

The hoodie was made by a local upcoming brand. I forget the name but when I remember I’ll update this. They came out really nice , graphics stays on well and the hoodie itself feels really nice. We had a very limited amount made and only a few people were given one for free. Super sick hoodie really liked how it came out.
This was when Andy first had given me the board. First time seeing it in person. Still feels crazy looking back, wasn’t that long ago but its super cool to just see my work on the bottom of the board. Even crazier because I tore my ACL with this board but that day felt amazing. I’ve never gotten an injury that required a hospital visit from skateboarding so to have it happen on my board is somehow fulfilling. Hoping for no more injurys but somehow stoked that it happened on my own board.
First time seeing the board in person.
Still in disbelief, so honored and excited to be working on graphics with Bonzis. Especially because he got some in the shape I like to skate which was super sick.
Andy had sent me a preview of the board. Shoutout to tucker as well super cool dudes always pushing for the local skate community.
Photo Andy and tucker had sent me when boards came in.
It was either tucker or andy who sent me the picture of when they first came in. Cant remember but still so sick to see this photo.
The homies ! June 21st, 2024 GoSkateDay SkateJam.
This day was super sick. Alot of people came through , lots of kids got some of my stickers. We played a big game of skate which could have been organized a little better but it was our first time so we’ll get better at it. Gave out some fingerboards to the winners ! Day turned out to be super sick shoutout to all the locals who came through.
